Currently in the design phase, the Stuart Weitzman Theatre will offer a flexible student rehearsal and performance space fronting the Annenberg Plaza. Named for the award-winning shoe designer, Stuart Weitzman, the 9,500 GSF theatre will join the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, near the Center’s main entrance between Locust Walk and Walnut Street.
Part of the planned multi-phase renovation and expansion of the Annenberg Center Complex, the $25M Stuart Weitzman Theatre will have multiple configurations, event, and rehearsal spaces. It will serve as a venue for a variety of Penn’s student dance troupes, acapella groups, professional performances, and more. Construction is expected to begin in spring 2027, with substantial completion in spring 2029.
