Blockley Hall
Blockley Hall houses office and work space for the Perelman School of Medicine.
Built as housing for the nursing students of Philadelphia General Hospital, the building is differentiated from contemporary structures at Penn in the choice of color. The Beaux-Arts roots of the design reflect the training its architects received in Paul Cret’s Penn atelier before World War I.
- The main entrance located on Guardian Dr. is level with both the sidewalk and driveway. This entrance is called "Blockley Upper" by the Accessible Van drivers.
Blockly Hall is directly connected to Stellar-Chance on floor 1, and to the Medical Complex through Stellar-Chance via level, accessible interior corridors.
There is a bank of elevators in the middle of the building that access all floors.
There are accessible men's and women's restrooms on the ground floor in a public/unrestricted area.
Most restrooms in the building are located in private/restricted areas for authorized persons.
There is one designated accessible parking spaces outside the main entrance (entry #1).
