Ribbon-cutting for Jane and David Ott Center for Track & Field

The Penn community celebrated the official ribbon-cutting of the Jane and David Ott Center for Track & Field on Saturday, Nov. 16.

The first of its kind in Philadelphia, the $69.3M, 73,000-square-foot indoor facility is located at 610 River Fields Drive and connected to Hollenback Center. Filled with natural light, it features large, clerestory windows that face the Schuylkill River and can seat more than 1,000 people. The Ott Center contains a banked 200-meter running track, two long jump/triple jump runways, two pole vault runways, an eight-lane infield for sprints, hurdles, and high jump, and a throwing area for the shot put and weight throw. It will help the University continue to attract elite student-athletes and provide a year-round home for Penn’s track & field and cross-country teams, as well as enhance and provide support to the Penn Relays - the oldest and largest track and field event in the country.

The facility officially opens on December 6, 2024. Learn more at Penn Today.
