A Renewed and Expanded Weitzman Hall
In February, the Penn community gathered to celebrate the re-opening of Weitzman Hall, a new interdisciplinary hub for research and teaching for the Weitzman School of Design. The first new building for the Weitzman School in nearly 60 years, Weitzman Hall was designed as an adaptive reuse project, joining the original historic building on 34th Street with a new addition along Smith Walk. The new 40,000-square-foot-space includes fine arts studios, exhibition spaces, a maker space, and more, and is targeting LEED platinum certification. Read more in Penn Today.
