Amy Gutmann Hall Dedicated
On a late September day, members of the Penn community gathered to dedicate the University’s new center for data science and artificial intelligence: Amy Gutmann Hall. A model of sustainability, the building is constructed primarily from mass timber, which has a lower carbon footprint than steel or concrete. Housing spaces for both research and teaching, Amy Gutmann Hall will train the next generation of scholars to mine data for insights that can be leveraged for the betterment of humanity. The building's flexible learning environments will also enhance Penn’s local community outreach and engagement programs. Read more about the dedication event and this newest building designed by Lake Flato with KSS Architects, and watch a timelapse of the construction process captured over the past couple years.
