Major Renovation Brings New Life to Penn's Quad

A three-year, multi-phase renovation of Penn's Quadrangle dormitories, originally constructed in 1895, was completed in August 2026. The project began in 2023, with most construction taking place during the summer months to minimize disruption to student and residential life. Each of the Quad's three college houses now features a shared kitchen, seminar room, and lounge that are accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
